There are certain views of Edmonton that make me appreciate the city I call home all over again.
Everything I Want to Be was inspired by the Edmonton River Valley, with the Muttart Conservatory sitting among the trees and our downtown skyline rising in the distance. I love the way this view brings together so many parts of Edmonton—nature, architecture, community, and a city that continues to grow and change.
I used bold brushstrokes, expressive linework, and vibrant colour to capture the energy of the landscape rather than every perfect detail. I wanted it to feel alive.
For me, the title Everything I Want to Be is about that feeling of possibility—being colourful, growing, connected, and still becoming.
This 12 × 24 inch original painting on canvas is a celebration of Edmonton and the beauty of finding inspiration in the place you call home.
