There is something about an Alberta prairie sky that naturally draws my eyes toward the horizon.
Looking Beyond was inspired by that openness—the fields stretching into the distance, the enormous sky above, and the feeling that there is always something just beyond what we can see.
I wanted to capture the prairie with expressive colour, line, and movement, allowing the sky to become as important to the painting as the land beneath it.
For me, the title Looking Beyond is about more than looking across a landscape. It is about possibility, wondering what might be ahead, and remembering that our view right now is never the whole story.
