Part of my For the Love of the Arts series, Riding the Rhythm celebrates the spontaneous joy of street performance. Inspired by the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival in Churchill Square, this painting captures the shared energy between performers and audience, where laughter, curiosity, and wonder fill the space.

I was drawn to the way children watched with complete attention, immersed in the moment as performers balanced skill, humour, and creativity. These are the experiences that remind us how the arts have the power to bring strangers together, spark imagination, and create lasting memories in the heart of our city.
