'united by the beat' (Edmonton Folk Festival) - Art Card Blank Inside with envelope included

Part of my For the Love of the Arts series, United by the Beat was inspired by one of my favourite places in Edmonton—the hill overlooking the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. As the sun begins to set over the city skyline, thousands of people gather with blankets, friends, and family, united by a shared love of live music.

From the top of the hill, the festival becomes more than a concert. It becomes a community. Conversations quiet as songs begin, strangers become neighbours, and for a few hours, the rhythm on stage connects everyone watching below. Looking across the crowd toward Edmonton’s skyline, I wanted to capture that feeling of belonging that music so effortlessly creates.
