Heart of the City is my celebration of Edmonton—a city that has shaped so much of who I am and what I paint.
I wanted to bring together two landmarks that feel unmistakably Edmonton: the Muttart Conservatory nestled into the river valley and the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald rising above it. Using bold brushstrokes and vibrant colour, I painted the city as I experience it—not simply as buildings and landmarks, but as a place filled with energy, colour, nature and memory.
