Sometimes a painting can simply be about the things that make us feel good.
All the Good Things is a colourful floral piece created with encaustic, a process that allowed me to build layers of wax, colour, texture, and marks into the surface. I love how encaustic holds onto each layer, allowing little pieces of what came before to remain visible in the finished work.
The flowers are loose, expressive, and imperfect—more about the feeling of being surrounded by colour and growth than capturing a particular flower exactly as it appears.
For me, All the Good Things is a reminder to notice what brings us joy: flowers blooming, colour, growth, small moments, and the good things that are sometimes easy to overlook.
