From Visit to River Valley was inspired by a crisp November morning spent in the river valley. I was drawn to the quietness of the landscape—the changing colours, the cool air, and that feeling of having this incredible natural space right in the middle of our city.
I wanted to capture the river valley as I experienced it that morning, using colour and expressive brushwork to hold onto the feeling of the moment rather than every perfect detail.
For me, this painting is a reminder that we don’t always have to travel far to find places that make us stop and look. Sometimes that beauty is waiting for us right here at home.
